Our Bed & Breakfast has very large and airy rooms. Every room is equipped with air conditioning, television, digital safe, mini-bar and en-suite bathroom.
Our rooms overlook a splendid citrus garden that in spring-time fills the rooms with an intense perfume of orange flowers. All our rooms have been refurbished to a high standard using many of the original features such as floor tiles and chandeliers.
The “Anna & Guglielmo” suite is very evocative and it is furnished in a lavish style. This style reflects the high standing which the family held in the town of Piano .
The Suite is also equipped with a drawing room and the bathroom is finished in hand made ceramics. The purple and the gold of the carpets, curtains and wall-paper in the drawing room will capture your attention as will the period furniture built at the time of my great grandfather. Our guests have the availability of a games room with billiard table. The house also retains an original kitchen dating from 1896, it is equipped with a wood burning stove, copper pots and hand made utensils.
It was 1896 when Guglielmo Cocorullo purchased the land where now stands the Villa MariaRosa. An antique villa in the liberty style, completely restored in 2005 keeping intact the characteristics of the period. The history of the family and of the past are visible all around.
On the walls you will notice the nautical charts that Guglielmo used to cross the seas of the world and in every corner of the house there are small objects that take you back in time.
The Cocorullo family was very large being descendants of Guglielmo, Anna Lauro and of their four children: Maria, Michele, Rosa and Francesco Saverio. Michele and Francesco followed the footsteps of their father and become sea captains and estimable pilots that even today, many years after their deaths, they are remembered with lots of affection by local seamen.
Maria and Rosa dedicated their lives, with much love, to the family and home. Such love that today the Bed & Breakfast takes its name from them to honour their memory.
Today it is I, Francesco Saverio, great grandson of Guglielmo, who is proud to be the owner and manager of this wonderful Bed & Breakfast with the help of my wife Alessandra and the supervision of my father Guglielmo.
We will be pleased to welcome you with lots of love, just like my family welcomed their guests in the past and we will do our best to make you feel comfortable and relaxed thanks to our splendid well equipped garden...
... Welcome, welcome to my home!
