The farm ‘Moro Fiacchi’ that hosts "The Harvest Moon" holiday house, is a typical Tuscan country mansion from the XVII century, with a spectacular pool overlooking the boundless valley, it sits in the very heart of the Val D’Orcia Artistic, Natural and Cultural Park, a short distance away from sites of particular historic and artistic interest (Pienza, Montalcino, S. Quirico d’Orcia, Montepulciano), from thermal baths (Bagni S. Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme, San Casciano dei Bagni, Rapolano Terme) and from Amiata Mountain, where one can stroll through chestnut and oak tree woods or follow the meandering of torrents that slope down into the Orcia river.

The Farmhouse ‘Moro Fiacchi’ consists of four apartments, each having its own independent open-air meal corner.

Beautifully restored, the mansion stands within a gorgeous, luminous garden lined by holm-oak and olive trees. Three refined suites accommodate guests in the days leading to the main event taking place in a candlelit nightglowing atmosphere where finely laid tables are set around the property’s pool as well as inside the cosy, rustic stone stables.

The Green House, situated in the courtyard right in front of the swimming pool, consists of a large living room with cooking corner and two single divan-beds beside the fireplace; it has two cosy bedrooms, one with king-size bed and one with king-size bed plus a single bed, both provided with private bathroom.

The Red House, with direct access to the garden and the swimming pool, consists of a large living room with cooking corner and two large divan beds (one single, one double) in front of the fireplace, a bedroom with king-size or twin bed, a bathroom accessible from the living room and a main bedroom with king-size bed plus large en-suite bathroom.

The Yellow House, with direct access to the garden and the swimming pool, consists of a large living room with two single divan beds in front of the fireplace, an independent little kitchen, a large bedroom with king-size bed plus a queen-size bed and a bathroom accessible from both the living and the bedroom.

Neighborhood

The Val d'Orcia is a wide valley located in Tuscany, in the province of Siena and partly within that of Grosseto in the north and east of Mount Amiata and near the border with Umbria. Crossed by the river Orcia, the center, which gives it its name, is characterized by pleasant landscaped vistas and a number of medieval villages, two of which are well known as Pienza and Montalcino.

The valley is also an important park, natural, artistic and cultural heritage, and July 2, 2004 has been recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO, for the excellent state of conservation of the landscape, as produced by an intelligent work of human , who has had a significant influence on many artists of the Renaissance. The committee thus justified the inclusion in the list:

How to get there

From the exit “CHIUSI - CHIANCIANO” of Autostrada A1 (Highway), pass the roundabout and turn left in the direction of CHIANCIANO
Carry on along the SS 146 up to Km. 13 (signpost numbered [13] visible straight after the ESSO gas station); at the crossroads, turn left in the direction of SS 2 CASSIA / MONTE AMIATA and then turn immediately right in the direction of MONTE AMIATA
Carry on for about 2, 5 Km. and, at the crossroads, turn left, in direction of SS 2 CASSIA / MONTE AMIATA
Carry on for another 200 mt. and, at the crossroads, turn left again, in the direction of SS 2 CASSIA
Keeep going - without diverting - until the SP 40 inputs the SR 2 CASSIA (T junction)
At the T junction, turn right, in the direction of SIENA, and carry on for 1, 5 Km. up to Km. 171 and VIII of the SS 2 CASSIA (numbered signposts visible along the right hand side of the road)
Once at Km. 171 and VIII of the SS 2 CASSIA ("B" spot on the map), turn right and follow the white road up to the second farm on the right: welcome to "The Harvest Moon".

Train to Chiusi-Chianciano Terme and from there by private transport.
