Hotel Ritz

One of the more intimate hotels along the Arno, the Ritz was taken over in 1996 and renovated by the Abolaffio brothers -- who also own the Hotel Pensione Pendini. The walls are hung with reproductions of Italian art from the Renaissance to Modigliani, and the reading room and bar are cozy. The room decor varies -- some floors have wood or marble, others are carpeted. The mix-and-match furniture is mostly modern yet tasteful.
