4 minuts walk you find THEATRE DONIZETTI WAS ERECTED AT THE END OF 700 AND CALLED AFTER GAETANO DONIZETTI IN 1897.
Near by the monument to Donizetti erected in the same year by Francesco Jerace. In this theatre youll find programmes for Stagione Lirica, Prosa , Festival Pianistico, Bergamo Jazz (march)
SAN BARTOLOMEO CHURCH (1600) - In which youll find a big altar pieceMadonna con bambino e Santi by Lorenzo Lotto (1516), the wooden Chorus , with marquetries by Damiano Zambelli (XVI century)
10 minuts walk to the FUNICOLARE for Città Alta
S.BARTOLOMEO CULTURAL CENTER IS annexted to the Church and is at the end of SENTIERONE which is the pedestrian way opened in 1762. Continuing along Sentierone youll arrive in via T.Tasso and to S.Spirito church (rebuilt in the first half of 500 .) where youll see the polyptych by Bergognone (1508) and a oil on canvas by Lorenzo Lotto.
An other church near by is S.BERNARDINO CHURCH (1500) in via Pignolo. with another Lorenzo Lotto altar piece.(1521). Just in front there is MUSEO BERNAREGGI
