Siracusa (Syracuse) is one of the most charming cities in Sicily; here you can find the richest collection of manmade and natural wonders which bear witness to the glorious past of the island: the Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, the Dionysos Ear, the Cordaris Cave, the Maniace Castle and the Eurialo Castle; the town also offers an intriguing nightlife, especially in the charming isle of Ortygia (7 min walking from the hostel), and doubtlessly the best beaches of southern Sicily; the traveller who gives importance to cuisine in understanding local culture will have his senses delighted by the genuineness of food and will experience a unique culinary adventure; from here you can easily reach Catania and Mt.
