Overview

Set in a 16th-century cloister on the isolated island of Giudecca (reached by private hotel launch from St. Mark's Square), this pleasure palace was opened in 1958 by Giuseppe Cipriani, the founder of Harry's Bar. The Cipriani is the only hotel on Giudecca.

Location & Transportation

Located on Giudecca, it is only a short gondola ride from San Marco and in the 18th century was Venice’s “garden of delights”. Alongside noble residences (such as Palazzo Vendramin, Palazzo Dandolo, Palazzo Barbaro Nani) there were modest “pavilions” for shorter stays, called “casini”.
Directions	The Hotel Cipriani operates a free boat service to and from our private landing stage at Piazzetta San Marco (beside St Mark's Square) 24 hours a day. The launch crosses the lagoon in just a few spectacular minutes. The night service runs from the swimming pool boat landing from 10:30 pm to 9:00 am to ensure that guests are not disturbed. If it is raining, the night service leaves from our main entrance.
